WOW — 12 1/2 inches of rain in 40  consecutive hours!!!  That’s some serious weather!!  No damage, though, as far as I know.  Heard reports about water being up to the caretaker’s cabin over at Davis.  The harbor at the fishing center has been , well, couldn’t see the pilings by the main dock at high tide!!

Now for fishing:  Still good.  Had a couple oif good friends brave (?) the weather today (winds NNW 20 -25) and travel over to the Hook.  According to Scott, “Gettin’ our asses handed to us, but we’re catchin’ albies!!”  I suppose the fish don’t care if it rains!  The weather should be improving over the weekend, so I’ll let you know how the fishing is over the next few days.

Tight lines!!!

Well, thank God the albie fishing is better than the weather forecasts!!  I’m not going to give anymore forecasts, but here’s the website that I get them from:  www.wundergound.com.  It’s a terrific website for weather everywhere.  I click on Marine, and get the forecasts(?) for Cape Lookout.  Anyway, y’all check it out and I won’t have to look like a weather idiot!!

As for the albies:  the fishing is still good.  We sometimes have to hunt pods, but when we find them, it’s on!!  I’m telling ya, I haven’t seen fishing like this in several years!  I still have some open dates, so if you can, give me a call and we’ll set something up.  Keep thinking about the bluefin trips, too!  It won’t be long before they get here.   And shark fishing is hot too!!  Tight lines and call if I may be of service.

The wind was blowing pretty good today, but the fishing was still good.  Lots of blues and trout; and the albies were good.  We had to chase them and find the pods, but once we found them, the fishing was great.  I had a half day today, and just caught the hell out of the albies.   Anyway, the weather for tomorrow calls for strong winds, but we’re gonna brave it.  I’ll remember the camera and let you know what we catch.  The king bite has been good, also.
